Our Approach

The Story of Ishara Sri Gayatri Vikas Samiti

In 2008, a group of passionate individuals came together with a shared vision—to create a world where every person, especially the underprivileged, women, and children, could thrive with dignity and equality. This vision gave birth to Ishara Sri Gayatri Vikas Samiti, a nonprofit organization focused on empowering communities and fostering sustainable development.

From its humble beginnings in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh, the organization has dedicated itself to helping rural and tribal communities by addressing their most pressing needs: access to clean water, sustainable livelihoods, healthcare, and education. The founders, led by Kunj Bihari Sharma, believed that true change could only happen when we protect our environment and create equal opportunities for all.

Ishara Sri Gayatri Vikas Samiti embarked on its journey by focusing on ecological restoration—reviving ecosystems and natural resources that were being depleted by unsustainable practices. Their first project was focused on water conservation, which laid the foundation for the organization’s future initiatives. Through innovations in water management, energy conservation, and community empowerment, the organization brought real change to several villages.

As the years passed, the team at Ishara Sri Gayatri Vikas Samiti expanded their reach, setting up district offices in Hamirpur, Mahoba, and Chhatarpur. Their mission grew to include not only environmental restoration but also the revival of local economies by creating sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Today, Ishara Sri Gayatri Vikas Samiti is more than just an NGO—it’s a movement. A movement to restore balance to nature, provide equal opportunities for all, and create a world where no one is left behind. The organization continues to work towards its vision of a sustainable and equitable future for the generations to come.

With the support of donors, volunteers, and the community, Ishara Sri Gayatri Vikas Samiti has been able to bring hope and change to countless families. And the journey is far from over. Every day, the organization continues to grow, expand, and touch lives across India, one project at a time.
