Suhagrani, from Imaliya village, Lalitpur, turned her 20-disimal plot into a thriving kitchen garden with ISGVS support. After facing losses to animals, she installed barriers in 2022 and began selling surplus vegetables, earning INR 25,000. Her organic produce, from tomatoes to ridge gourd, is a hit in the market, providing her family with nutrition and income. Her success highlights the power of hard work, determination, and nature’s bountiful rewards. 🌱
Parvati and Sapna Ahirwar: Empowerment Through SHG
In Girar Village, Parvati and Sapna, from landless families, found hope through the Girar Self-Help Group. Parvati, part of the Lakshmi Mata SHG, struggled with daily labor and migration, while Sapna gained financial independence through a sewing machine provided by the project. Now, she earns INR 2,000–3,000/month, supporting her family’s needs and education. Their story shows how small support can lead to big changes, empowering marginalized communities.
